Working Near Underwater Pipelines
An online training program promoting safe dredging and safe marine construction operations near underwater pipelines. The training covers pipeline safety, damage prevention and emergency response in the marine environment. Our purpose is to explore and address issues and challenges in preventing spills, releases, and damage to coastal and marine pipelines, which negatively impact the environment and the safety of our coastal communities.
We aim to implement effective solutions that sustain and enhance pipeline asset integrity, environmental protection, industry perception, and our right to operate. This training was funded through a Technical Assistance Grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
